Snow Day Fashion Picks

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! ❄️☃️

I’m sure by the end of winter I’ll be beyond done with winter, snow, ice and everything not so nice about the season, but for right now I’m enjoying a bit of snow here up in Connecticut and sporting my favorite winter pieces. Just the other week, we got over a foot of snow in a blizzard and I was super inspired to have a winter photoshoot with my new Canon Rebel T6. My cousin Sarah and I set out in single digit weather (Fahrenheit!!) with a -14 degree wind chill to take some cute shots (we were in more pain than we look in these photos, trust me).

Bear with the messy hair shots, we tried to embrace it haha!

I’ve been really enjoying winter duds ever since I gained some weight in college – the bigger, the puffier, the baggier = better!

My winter fashion essentials: 👗

» Some fleece lined leggings! Everyone loves a good pair of leggings for any season, but for those extra chilly days I prefer fleece-lined. I actually found my favorite pair at my local T.J. Maxx for a steal! I’ll link a pair from Target here:

» White attire – I personally like pairing my leggings with a white sweater or long sleeved shirt to embrace the winter color scheme

» Long coats with faux fur– my coat is from Ralph Lauren and goes down to my knees. Perfect for shielding your legs & booty from that chilling air. The faux fur adds a lil chic something to the jacket. I’ll link my exact coat here:, but I’ll let you in on a little secret. I got this coat for half off at a Ralph Lauren outlet- so make sure you check at local outlets for these upscale coats before paying in full!!

» Bean Boots/Sporto Boots, etc.: Mine are actually Sporto Duck Boots and I think they’re just as cute as Bean Boots! I’ve really grown to love my Sporto’s more and more because it seems like everyone wears the same pair of booties from L.L. Bean and I feel like my pair look a little more unique. Another fashion hint – Sporto’s are cheaper at about $35 a pair. I’ll link my exact style here:
